I know it's been a long time since the last time I published a photograph in deviantArt. In fact, nowadays I rarely submit work anywhere on the internet despite my website. [link]
So you may ask what have I being up to ... Well, I upgraded all my photo equipment (body, lenses, tripod, filters...) Info about this photo:
The major peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himalaya, Annapurna South (7.219m) Gangapurna (7.455m) Annapurna 3 (7.555m) Machhapuchhare (6.993m) and Annapurna 1 (8.091m) are arranged almost exactly in a circle about 10 miles in diameter with a deep glacier enclosed field at the center. This magnificent amphitheatre is called "The Sanctuary" because of its natural serenity, beauty and the divine presence of the Hindu goddesses Annapurna and Gangapurna. Because of the high mountains on all sides, the Sanctuary receives only 7 hours of sunlight a day at the height of summer. This isolated cirque of peaks and glacier can only be approached by one route, a deep gorge that carves into the fortress of mountains between Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. -Annapurna's Base Camp, Nepal, 2012-
